Kate McBride is a writer and filmmaker who lives and works in Vancouver, Florence, and Biot. (Not bad, one might say.) In and around her other work, she has long kept photo and poetry journals of her travels. As part of a swing to this part of the world, she'll read and show images tonight from her recent book, Poems & Polaroids: I Journey with You Here (Alias). Drawn from the years 1989 to 2006, this book conveys a wide variety of landscapes and city scenes, both visually and in poetic text, a world outside, and in.
